Before taking the Design-Your-Own Landscape class, I had a yard that was bland and with an uninspiring and uninviting outdoor living space. I had no clue what I wanted or how to design it so I decided to hire a landscape designer. We had a few meetings, he visited my yard, and I paid over $1,500 for a design that was marginally better than my current yard. The new design still lacked an inspiring outdoor living space and was not close to worth the over $140,000 price tag that he wanted to do the job.

Finding the Design-Your-Own Landscape class was a stroke of luck for me. Eve has created a step-by-step process that is easy to follow with multiple tools to find your inspiration, organize your needs and desires, and implement them into a cohesive design.

First, the class focuses on helping you define what you really want by searching for your "soul mate" photo of your new landscape and asking lots of questions about how you want to live in your space. This was super helpful to me. I found inspiring pictures that really changed what I thought I wanted and led me to create my dream yard.

The video lessons are of very high quality, and there are supporting documents like questions as well as spreadsheets to help organize elements of your design and plants. Eve also really helps you explore lower-cost alternatives for design alternatives, scheduling of what needs to be done first, and also maintenance. This is a very comprehensive class.

I also highly recommend meeting with Eve and go over your design and get her input. This was really helpful for me when I would get stuck. Eve always had things to help me further my design. She is full of great ideas and advice that really make the Design Together Garden Club well worth the time and price. Eve has lots of design experience and is an excellent teacher and she makes learning fun."
