Learn creative ways to shop for plants, truly practical propagation methods, and design strategies to bring your dream landscape to life (no matter the size of your plant budget)
Learn creative ways to shop for plants, actually practical propagation methods, and design strategies to bring your dream landscape to life (no matter the size of your plant budget)
Whether you have a tight plant budget, or you've been saving up for this project for a while, it helps to know how to prioritize.
Sometimes it makes sense to buy a smaller version of a plant. Sometimes, it's better to invest. Some plants are overpriced and placed on the front racks, while other incredible plants are alone at the back of the garden center. Some seeds can turn into flowering perennials in a few months. Some plants propagate so easily, spending money on them is silly!
And it's not just about shopping and growing: good design strategy is how you get the most out of your plant budget. Which plants should you purchase first? What types of plants should carry the most weight in the design? And how best to include the plants you already have?
I'm excited to share my plant scrounging experience and professional design strategies to help you get the most out of your plant budget

About Your Teacher
Hi, I’m Eve!
I'm here to help you learn the basics (and beyond) so you can have a successful garden project from the start.
I’m a landscape designer and gardening teacher who specializes in helping people create outdoor spaces they can actually live in and love.
Spaces that aren’t just beautiful, but outdoor extensions of home that make our lives and communities better. Whether that’s supporting wildlife, growing food, or simply slowing down outside.
I'm based in the mossy Pacific Northwest corner of the USA, but I help people all over the world to plan their own outdoor spaces. I started Garden Project Academy to make this kind of guidance available to everyone, and have since helped hundreds of students all over the world.
Over the years, I’ve found that the most meaningful landscapes don’t come from designers who hand off a vision. They come from people being guided through creating their own dream space.
